The Director, Central Institute for Cotton Research, Nagpur is the chairman of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and coordinates its functions. The objectives and mandates are being implemented by faculties of KVK.

Indian Council of Agriculture Research has sanctioned Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at the premises of CICR, Nagpur (vide letter No. 5 (28)193-KVK-AE-II dated October 4, 1994). KVK, CICR, Nagpur comes under Zonal Project Directorate, Zone-V, Hyderabad.
KVK, Nagpur is a grass root level organization meant for application of technology through assessment, refinement and demonstration of proven technologies and training of same under different ‘micro farming’ situations in Nagpur district.
